This video was simultaneously a lot of fun to make (lots of good footage from multiple cameras/angles, decent story, found a fun song for it, enjoyed making a movie with my parents) and the biggest pain (audio had lots of wind, color matching across cameras was a nightmare, didn’t manage the clips efficiently in the editor, had to cut out tons of footage for brevity).
I’ve let the edit linger for 4 days, which is the most off-track I’ve been on the daily videos so far. When I have a batch of videos that are bottlenecked, it really gets in the way of my daily creativity since I feel like I need to lighten my editing workload rather than add to it. That’s not a great headspace to be in...
Happy that I went through this situation. I learned a lot about how my mind operates!
